Meet Dr. Turgeon

A physician once said “The best medicine for humans is love”. Someone asked “what if it doesn’t work?” She smiled and said, “Increase the dose.”

Dr. Elizabeth Turgeon is a Board-Certified Family Physician with over 25 years of experience in primary care, rural medicine, and leadership. Her special interests are in women’s health, menopause care,

medical student education, diabetes management, and preventive wellness care.

​Dr. Turgeon brings a diverse and extensive background in family medicine, with experience ranging from practicing in the remote bush community of Cordova, Alaska to working within hospital systems in Wasilla, Alaska and Show Low, Arizona.

She founded and successfully managed a private family practice dedicated to serving rural communities and from

2020 to 2025 she served as Medical Director at Valley Native Primary Care in Wasilla.

She is strongly committed to graduate medical education and teaching the next generation of physicians.

Dr. Turgeon has provided full-spectrum family medicine, including women's health services, and delivered

comprehensive care across acute, chronic, and preventive settings.  â€‹

 

Carolyn
Collins

Office Manager and Certified Medical Assistant

Carolyn Collins, CMA

Carolyn is our friendly and dedicated office manager and certified medical assistant. She brings professionalism, compassion, and efficiency to both patient care and clinic operations. Born in Fairbanks, AK Carolyn has been a CMA since 2018, with experience in primary care, Oncology, and pain management.

For the past 2.5 years, she has worked closely with Dr. Turgeon to ensure smooth running daily operations and exceptional patient support. Carolyn is known for her warm personality, attention to detail, and her ability to make both patients and coworkers feel right at home.

Outside of work, Carolyn loves spending time with her family, friends, and her cat Duchess. She also enjoys baking sourdough bread, fishing, camping, and soaking in all the beauty that Alaska has to offer.

MacLeod

Receptionist and
Medical Assistant

Rebekah MacLeod, Receptionist

Rebekah is the welcoming face you’ll see when you walk through our doors. Born and raised in Cordova, Alaska, she brings warmth, compassion, and a genuine zest for life to our front desk. Since starting her career in the medical field in 2021, Rebekah has been dedicated to helping patients feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive.

 

When she's not at work, Rebekah enjoys the rugged beauty of Alaska—spending her free time camping, listening to great music, and embracing the outdoor lifestyle. She's also a proud dog mom to two playful corgis and a spirited dachshund who keep her on her toes.
